Invitation
We sincerely invite and welcome you to attend the 5th Workshop in Devices, Materials and Structures for Energy Harvesting and Storage that will take place in Dublin, Ireland on 23-24 April, 2018.
Dublin is a global hub of innovation and research and University College Dublin is at the forefront of engineering innovation in Ireland.
The workshop will gather European and international researchers and entrepreneurs specialising in the field of energy harvesting and storage, to discuss scientific and technological progresses, expand networks, and stimulate academic as well as academia-industry collaborations.
Additionally, the workshop will encourage Master and Ph.D. students to present their research ideas and progresses, and provide a unique opportunity to meet and talk to renowned experts in the field.
We hope the workshop will be an excellent international platform for every participant who will get a momentum for enhancing the insights to this field.

This workshop is hosted by the Dynamical Systems and Risk Laboratory, School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, University College Dublin, Ireland, and organised by Prof. Grzegorz Litak, Lublin University of Technology, Poland and Dr. Vikram Pakrashi, University College Dublin, Ireland. The scientific committee additionally consists of Dr. Yang Bai, University of Oulu, Finland, Prof. Chris Bowen, University of Bath, UK, Dr. Daniil Yurchenko, Heriott-Watt University, UK and Dr. Sebastian Bader, Mid Sweden University, Sweden.
The Dynamical Systems and Risk Laboratory is a well-recognized unit in UCD and the Engineering Laboratory of the Year, 2017 in Ireland. The unit works in multi-disciplinary problems on dynamical systems and quantification of risks in mechanical systems and built infrastructure in close collaboration with several high quality research groups in Europe, Asia, USA and global and domestic industrial partners.
