Information for Academic Collaborators
We have a strong track record of partnering with leading academics to ensure their research ideas are translated into clinically impactful investigations that are routinely published in leading international journals.
We have supported investigator-led trials for over 15 years and have been central to the delivery of successful investigations from single site to multinational trials, working with major international partners across multiple clinical disciplines. Through the UCD CTU, we will further expand our supports for these vital academic-led investigations.
The Unit will:
- Advise partners on trials design, regulatory and quality matters and others
- Design robust, feasible, regulatory compliant trials
- Conduct trials supporting research data management, randomisation, pharmacovigilance, study management and monitoring
- Manage large scale cohorts and datasets and provide linkage to expertise in advanced data analysis and AI
- Support the transformation of Ireland’s healthcare system by enabling expert led public health research through management of longitudinal and cohort data
- Create harmonised protocols and systems for the creation of disease registries
- Provide support for collection, processing and storage of biological samples collected in health research protocols including analysis of biomarkers
