This PAPER titled ‘Asymmetric Synthesis and Biological Screening of Quinoxaline-Containing Synthetic Lipoxin A4 Mimetics’ was published in JMED (Journal of Medicinal Chemistry) on 17th June with Post Doc Researcher, Dr Monica De Gatenao, as Lead Author and Anontino Cacae, Eoin Bennan, Mariam Marai, Andrew Gaffney and Catherine Godson from the DCRC as co-authors. This work reported the synthesis and characterization of novel bioactive molecules, supporting their therapeutic potential in acute inflammation. A lead compound based on its anti-inflammatory and pro-resolving profile, including in vitro inhibition of key inflammatory pathways, as well as attenuation of acute inflammation in mice models has been successfully identified through this work.
