Reconnecting and Celebrating Achievements

The UCD MGA Alumni Reunion 2024 took place last Friday 10th May, celebrating the MB MCh BAO graduating classes of 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2014.

The event began with a Scientific Symposium featuring CPD lectures at the UCD Health Sciences Centre, delivered by members of the represented class years. This was followed by a drinks reception and Gala Dinner held at UCD O’Reilly Hall. Throughout the evening, UCD School of Medicine and the class of 2004 were delighted to showcase artwork by 2004 medical graduate Dr Laura Doherty.

There was a great display of energy and enthusiasm by the attendees, demonstrating the strong bond and enduring spirit of the alumni community.

Congratulations to Prof Patrick J. Boland (class of 1967), who was honoured with the Distinguished Graduate Award 2024 in recognition of his lifelong achievements to medical education, research and clinical practice. The award was presented at the Gala Dinner by MGA President, Assoc. Prof Mick Molloy, with the citation being delivered by Assoc. Prof Gary O’Toole.
