Course Features

  • This is a fully online module using online lectures, videos and electronic resources, thus allowing flexibility of access for distance learning.
  • Accomodates professionals in full time employment through flexible e-learning environment.

This module is open to all health care and associated professionals who encounter cross sectional imaging on a regular basis.

Skills and Knowledge

This module will provide the student with a comprehensive knowledge of normal cross sectional human anatomy of the head, neck and trunk. The modalities of Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in particular will be used in correlation with cadaveric cross sections to acquaint students with normal and some abnormal anatomy as seen clinically. This module will be delivered mostly via electronic learning. 

 

Teaching and Learning

Module participants will profit from using a fully online e-Learing module, which incorporates lectures, multimedia and online discussions as well as self-directed learning. The teaching and learning strategies are designed to encourage autonomous reflective practitioners who can further develop their personal and professional skills within a supportive framework.

Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree / qualification in a relevant healthcare role
