Everything you need to know to get started on your micro-credential journey!

Welcome to UCD!

Congratulations on receiving a UCD micro-credential offer, we are delighted you have decided to continue your professional development with UCD!

When you register to study a UCD Micro-credential course, you are enrolled and registered in the same way as every other learner at the University. Like every other student at UCD, you will be given a UCD Connect email account. This is the official means of communication and correspondence between you, UCD teaching staff, and other support services within the University. Moreover, all your module announcements, notifications, and communications will be integrated with this account. This is also where you will receive notice of your official grade results. It needs to be checked regularly.

Below we've outlined some next steps to help you get started.

Step 1 - Confirm your Registration

  • Log into SISWeb using the blue ' login with UCD Connect' button.
  • Your username is your 8-digit student number.
  • Your password is your 6-digit date of birth (format DDMMYY). If you don't know your student number or password, Ask us.
  • Accept UCD's 'Terms & Conditions'.
  • Click 'My Registration' on the SISWeb homepage & 'confirm'
    • Once confirmed you will be brought to a page where you can update your personal information. To access a section simply click on the title.

On the ‘My Profile’ section you can update your personal information, including your email preferences, check your fee balance, and pay your fees.

(Please note for those in receipt of the HCI Learner Subsidy, the subsidised amount will remain outstanding on your account until the funding has been applied.)

Further videos and support are available here.

If you have not already done so, you can also pay your fees through Sisweb. This page outlines the different payment options.

Please note:

For those in receipt of the HCI Learner, the subsidized amount will remain outstanding on your fee account until the funding has been applied.

Please note this step only applies to certain Micro-Credentials.  Your school will notify you if you need to do this step.

Step 2 - Selecting your Modules

The offer letter you previously received indicates the modules/micro-credentials you will study in UCD and the start time (trimester). You will select them in this part of your registration.

Students will be automatically allocated a Start Time for module registration in the Autumn Trimester. Please check Registration Key Dates to see when UCD Micro credential students can begin registration.

Check your Registration Start Time

Check your UCD Connect email for confirmation of your Start Time.  You will also be able to see what Start Time you get in SISWeb

Once the Online Registration system opens you will be able to see your Start Time on the My Registration page on SISWEB.
