Management Information Systems

Introduction to MIS

Management Information Systems encompasses a wide cross-section of research interests teaching a broad portfolio of subjects covering Information Systems (IS), Electronic Commerce / Business, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Social and Organisational aspects of IS / ICT, Operations Research, Management Science and Systems Science. Consequently, the research centres associated with Management Information Systems are well positioned to provide support for PhDs that have an applied inter-disciplinary orientation. The research activities of members of the group are organized within two centres, which reflect a dual thematic focus:

Members draw heavily on their active research involvement while teaching postgraduate programmes at UCD's Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School  and undergraduate programmes at the UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business.
