This module aims to introduce the students to sports psychology. The goal is to give the student a greater understanding into the psychology of the athlete and its impact in injury management and sports performance. The student will gain and understanding of the basis of motivational theory in relation to sports and exercise.

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module the student should be able to:1. Understand the role of psychology in the management of sports injuries and sports performance.2. Understand how motivation can affect injury managament and sports performance.
