Jake Williams

Hi there! My name is Jake and I recently finished my PhD in the relativity group here in UCD.  My PhD focused on how we model the effect of spin on black holes. Before that, I did my undergrad here in Theoretical Physics. I have tutored modules ranging from introductory level 1 courses to masters level 4 courses and everything in between.

I also have experience teaching in a secondary school and have privately tutored students for the Junior and Leaving Certificate and at university level. As my students can confirm, I love maths and will take any opportunity to talk about it. I can help with ACM and most MATH modules and can help with coding in Python, C, Bash, and LaTeX. I can also help with PHYC modules if you have maths questions from those. Outside of academia I love to bake, learn languages, and am an avid lover of heavy metal.
