Application for Bachelor of Music Degree (BMus) - Stages 4
If you want to make an application to study Music as a Single Major after completing the BA, you should apply via the following google form:

* Applicants should achieve a GPA of at least 3.2 in music modules. Duration of the Stage 4 BMus is one year.
The form must be submitted by Wednesday, 10th of July 2024. Queries can be addressed to (opens in a new window)music@ucd.ie. You will be notified on the outcome by email in July.

BMus Stage 4
After completion of a BA degree, students may proceed to a fourth year BMus programme subject to attaining a Stage 2-3 GPA of 3.2 or higher in Music.
Core Modules
- MUS31440 4th Year Recital OR MUS31450 Dissertation
Option Modules
Select three of the following 10 credit modules:
- FS30310 Beyoncé and Taylor Swift
- MUS31170 African-American Religious Music
- MUS31180 Music and the Moving Image
- MUS31280 The Symphony in Europe
- MUS31470 Techniques in Composition
- MUS31480 Music and Western Empires
- MUS31490 Issues in Early Music
Additionally, select two of the Performance Modules.
