Trapping of midges using OVI traps
- Bi-weekly trapping during the fly season
- Traps use light to attract midges
- Traps equire power outlet (220V)
- 1.5 to 2m above floor
- Ideally within 50m of livestock
- Traps deployed from 1h before dusk to 1h after dawn
- Catches filtered, packaged and stored in 70% ethanol at ambient temperature until collected or shipped to UCD (postage is covered)
