Congratulations to Newman Centre MA Scholar Cathy Darling, who was this year chosen as a runner-up for the UCD School of Philosophy JeanHogan MA Essay Prize for her essay ‘Newman on Conscience, Moral Stain, Repentance, and Forgiveness’ (nominated by Dr. Angelo Bottone).
The JeanHogan MA Essay Prize is an annual Philosophy essay prize open to all Philosophy MA students. It was established in memory of BA and MA Philosophy student JeanHogan who sadly passed away in January 2021. The prize is kindly sponsored by Jean's family. The judging panel is led by the School of Philosophy External Examiner Dr. Sarah Fine (Corpus Christi College, Cambridge).
