Close of polling approaches in Staff Panel Elections to UCD Governing Authority
Postal voting in UCD staff elections to the fourth Governing Authority will close on Tuesday, 25 November 2008 at 5.00 p.m.
Voters in the professorial panel and in the non-professorial academic panel must ensure that their Voting Paper and Declaration of Identity are returned to the President’s Office to arrive by the deadline. 13 candidates are contesting six places in the professorial panel, while 8 members of the non-professorial academic staff are disputing five places in that panel.
Counting of votes will commence on Wednesday, 26 November 2008 at 1.30 p.m. in UCD O’Reilly Hall. Candidates and other members of UCD staff are welcome to attend the count.
Three candidates in the non-academic panel, being the only nominees in that staff constituency, were deemed elected following the close of nominations on 29 October: Mary Buckley, Robert French and Hugo O’Donnell.
The fourth Governing Authority will hold office for the period 01 February 2009 to 31 January 2014.
