UCD Choral Scholars Spring Concert - an outstanding success!

The UCD Choral Scholars Spring Concert at Christ Church on Thursday April 1st was an outstanding success. The concert attracted a maximum audience at Christ Church who enjoyed an evening of wonderful music-making.

The Scholars were joined by Richard Wistreich, the internationally celebrated early-music bass vocalist, the Rucheta Ensemble, a five-part sackbut and cornett ensemble, Richard Sweeney, theorbo-continuo player, and soprani Catherine Redding and Lucy Thurston. The concert entitled 'Cori Spezzati - from Venice to Dresden' included an exciting programme of Renaissance and Baroque poly-choral and chamber music with works by Italian and German 17th Century composers including Gabrieli, Sch�tz, Monteverdi and Scheidt.
