As several Colleges and Schools at Belfield celebrated conferrings in June, more than 800 new UCD graduates were also recognised at a number of the University’s international campuses.
These students were conferred with their degrees at ceremonies at three joint colleges operated by UCD in China in partnership with Beijing University of Technology (BJUT), Chang’an University (CHD), and South China Agricultural University (SCAU).
These colleges are Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC), founded in 2012, Chang’an-Dublin International College (CDIC) of Transportation, founded in 2020, and Guangzhou Dublin International College of Life Sciences & Technology (GDIC), founded in 2020.
In June the newly graduated students from each college had the opportunity to celebrate their academic achievements, with 820 undergraduate degrees conferred.
There were some 320 UCD graduates from BDIC (Beijing), 340 in CDIC (Xi'an) and 160 from GDIC (Guangzhou).
Each ceremony was chaired by (opens in a new window)Professor Paul Fanning, UCD International Dean for China and Provost of UCD’s three joint international colleges in China, and UCD Deputy President/Vice President for Academic Affairs and Registrar (opens in a new window)Professor Colin Scott conferred the degrees.
