UCD rowers take Gannon Cup and Corcoran Cup in Colours Race

- UCD Senior Men’s Eight won the Gannon Cup in the annual Colours Race against Trinity College Dublin.
- UCD Senior Women’s Eight defeated Trinity to win the Corcoran Cup.
University College Dublin has won the men’s senior in the annual Colours Race against Trinity College Dublin, taking home the historic Gannon Cup for the fourth year running.
The UCD Senior Men’s Eight started strong, taking an early lead before continuing to pull away from Trinity and finishing ahead by a distance.
The win levels Gannon Cup series at 37 wins each for UCD and Trinity. Included in the winning crew was Olympic bronze medalist Daire Lynch.

Elsewhere, UCD Senior Women’s Eight beat Trinity Senior Women’s Eight by four lengths to win the Corcoran Cup.

After a close start, UCD took the lead and rowed strongly over the second half of the race to secure their fourth consecutive Corcoran Cup win.
