U21 3MThe_News Item

The School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Health Systems is immensely proud to share that PhD student Melissa Kinch, who recently represented UCD at the prestigious IUA National Three Minute Thesis Competition, is now competing in the global Universitas 21 (U21) Three Minute Thesis Competition.

The 3MT challenges research students to distil their complex projects into a compelling three-minute presentation for an intelligent but non-specialist audience. It hones critical communication skills while providing students and their supervisors with valuable international exposure and opportunities for collaboration.

Melissa’s participation for her research project entitled “Who Will Hold my Hand Mum? Lending a Helping Hand, Co-Designing Resources, Empowering Lives” not only reflects her dedication and talent but also highlights the excellence of UCD’s research community. Her full presentation can be viewed online, (opens in a new window)here.
