  1. Define the attributes of implementation leadership and implementation climate including assessment tools.
  2. Discuss the role of first and mid-level leaders in implementing EBP
  3. Examine the transferability and application of a define strategy ‘Leadership & Organisational Change for Implementation (LOCI) to an Irish health care context.

The workshop is for health care professionals and researchers engaged in implementing and sustaining changes in evidence based practice among health care teams.

Capacity: Max. 30

Date/Time: 21st August 2024, 14.00 - 16.00

About this workshop

Co-design is a participatory research method to create health and social well-being supports that are grounded in the values and lived experiences of the people they intend to serve. The unique collaborative approach of co-design ensures the voices of relevant partners are incorporated to address a problem, rather than assuming what may be beneficial. Dr Andrew Darley has both led and acted as PPI representative on a number of co-design projects. This 2-hour workshop offers an in-depth introduction to the key principles and practice of co-design for health and social care innovation, including:

  • Fundamentals of co-design
  • Challenges and opportunities of co-design
  • How to identify a co-design team
  • Practical tips to conduct a co-design workshop

This workshop intends to give participants knowledge and tools to spark ideas for applying co-design to your own work, as well as a deeper understanding of the benefits and challenges of taking a more creative and participatory approach to shared problems. This introductory session would be of interest to researchers, health and social care professionals, community and patient organisations, policy makers and PPI contributors.
