Virtual Mental Health Nursing Journal Club Session 9 with Guest Mr Jacopo Villani

The SNMHS Mental Health Team, with support from the HSE and University of Galway are delighted to introduce the last Virtual Mental Health Nursing Journal Club this trimester with guest Mr Jacopo Villani. Mr Villani will deliver a talk titled 'Traveller Mental Wellbeing Continuum Framework study’.
Background
Jacopo Villani works at the Health Service Executive as Program Manager in the National office of Mental Health Engagement and Recovery and previously held the position of Mental Health Service Coordinator for Travellers; he obtained an MA in Health Promotion at the University of Galway in 2019, and an MSC in Development Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London. He is co-author with Professor Margaret Barry of an article on Travellers’ perceptions of mental health, published in 2021 with Health Promotion International. He also published the collaborative study ‘A community-health partnership response to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Travellers and Roma in Ireland’, with Global Health Promotion, which was awarded the ‘HSE Open Access Research Award’ in 2021.
