newcscb600
The cscb600 spectrometer was funded by the (opens in a new window)HEA through PRTLI Cycle 2 & 3 in 2006. We kept the magnet and re-consoled the newcscb600 system in 2024 with the help of University College Dublin (UCD EQUIP Funding Programme - 2022) with Professor Pat Guiry as Lead Applicant.
Location: L0.18, School of Chemistry at the CSCB Building.
Spectrometer: Bruker Advance NEO 600MHz System, multinuclear with gradients
Probes:
- 600 MHz SmartProbeTM 5mm Double Resonance probe (iProbe). This SmartProbeTM is an observe broadband high resolution probe for 5 mm sample diameters and 600 MHz standard-bore magnets. The inner NMR coil can be tuned to observe 19F or any nucleus in the range from 31P to 109Ag. The outer NMR coil is tuned for either 1H decoupling or observation. The actively shielded high performance Z-gradient has been designed for highest linearity and shortest gradient recovery times. A key feature which this probe offers is the ability to observe 19F with 1H decoupling and to perform two-dimensional 1H/19F spectroscopy with superior quality. This probe facilitates superior single or multiple solvent suppression using pre-saturation or pulsed field gradients as required for samples from reaction control, biological samples and body fluids. Any nucleus can be fully automatically selected and optimally tuned and matched (ATM). Optimised for high sensitivity 1H (S/N 1000:1) High performance actively shielded z-axis gradient.
- 600 MHz TBI 5mm Indirect Detection Probe. This inverse triple resonance high resolution probe fitted with an actively shielded single axis Z-gradient for 5 mm sample diameters and 600 MHz standard-bore spectrometers. The inner NMR coil is double tuned to observe 1H with 13C decoupling. Optimised for high sensitivity 1H (S/N 850:1)The outer NMR coil can be tuned for decoupling with any nucleus in the range from 31P to 15N. It is equipped with automatic tuning and matching accessory (ATM).
Variable Temperature Range: -20°C to +30°C
Note: The cscb600 has a FTS preconditioning unit enabling experiments to be run as low as -20°C.
Note: This system is equipped with a 24 position auto-sampler to facilitate an open-access menu, and has the ability to run routine 1H, 13C, DEPT, COSY, HSQC, HMBC, NOESY,31P and 19F, HOESY experiments
