The rapid expansion of Interventional Radiology (IR) and the widespread adoption of novel IR techniques into standard medical practice demand a highly skilled and knowledgeable interventional team. Radiographers, working in IR, require a specific field of clinical knowledge and technical skills. This course builds on undergraduate level study to enable radiographers to become safe, effective and confident members of the IR team.

Who is this course for?
UCD is an internationally recognised centre of excellence for Diagnostic Imaging. This graduate course, unique in Ireland, is designed for radiographers working within Interventional Radiology (IR) who wish to develop both their theoretical and clinical knowledge in this specialised area.
Applicants must hold a BSc or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography, with at least one year post qualification experience and be working in the IR department over the duration of the course.
