During the Student and Academic Services Review (SASR) members of the administrative community repeatedly raised, as an issue, their difficulty in advancing initiatives to enhance services, improve processes and undertake improvements for the benefit of students and staff. Staff in these offices felt they had “no voice” and that their ability to influence change was limited. There is no established forum for these offices to raise issues, advance improvements or share good working practices and this reduces the ability of the offices to be as effective as possible.
On the (opens in a new window)recommendation of SASR Steering the University Management Team (UMT) decided to establish an inclusive ’Operations Group’ to address this gap and provide a mechanism for administrative offices to advance improvement initiatives and share good practice. This document sets out the terms of reference for the Operations Group.
