Patient Partners
Patients have a 'lived experience' of their disease that can provide valuable insight for cancer researchers in the course of their work. This is at the heart of PPI - public and patient involvement in research.
PVCR patient partners have become involved in research at various stages of the research project lifecycle. Examples include being involved in project steering committees, reviewing grant applications, training researchers in tailoring how they communicate with public audiences or facilitating discussions between researchers and patient groups.
