Webinar | PVCR Smoking Cessation Workshop - 13 April 2022
Wednesday, April 13, 2022. 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM | via Zoom
We are looking for patients with cancer who are current smokers or who gave up smoking around the time of their cancer diagnosis or since to take part in a workshop.
This will help us to decide how to plan and support smoking cessation strategies that are workable for patients.
What is the research study about?
Researchers at University College Dublin (UCD) and St Vincent’s University Hospital (SVUH) are undertaking a research project focusing on smoking cessation for patients with cancer. The title of the study is "Smoking cessation for cancer patients in Ireland: a scoping and feasibility initiative”.
What will I have to do?
We will discuss our study results to date and are seeking your advice and expertise on how we can make the best plan for a hospital/community-based smoking cessation programme for patients with cancer.
I want some more information before I decide – where can I get it?
Send an email to nancy.bhardwaj@ucd.ie to arrange a chat with one of the researchers about the workshop.
