Agnes Cuming Lectures 2016

The UCD School Of Philosophy is delighted to announce that the Agnes Cuming speaker for 2016 will be Susan Haack, Distinguished Professor in the Humanities, Cooper Senior Scholar in Arts and Sciences, Professor of Philosophy, and Professor of Law at the University of Miami. Professor Haack will give two public lectures and in September 2016.  The lecture series will be entitled "Scientism and Its Discontents".

SUSAN HAACK, Distinguished Professor in the Humanities, Cooper Senior Scholar in Arts and Sciences, Professor of Philosophy, and Professor of Law at the University of Miami. Prof Haack's work ranges from philosophy of logic and language, epistemology, metaphysics, philosophy of science, Pragmatism—both philosophical and legal—and the law of evidence, especially scientific evidence, to social philosophy, feminism, and philosophy of literature.  She has several key publications available on her (opens in a new window)website.
