Staff Work-in-Progress Seminar
Alternating with the Visiting Speaker Seminar Series during term-time, the School of Philosophy holds a regular work-in-progress seminar, or 'WiP', where academic staff and postdoctoral researchers can present and discuss new ideas in a friendly and focused academic environment. Started by (opens in a new window)Professor Rowland Stout in 2020, the WiP has hosted talks on a wide range of topics that are reflective of the diverse philosophical traditions represented within the School.
The event is open to all members of staff, including postdocs, and is separate from the Postgraduate WiP Seminar organised by and for philosophy graduate students. For the 2024/25 academic year, the WiP seminar runs on Thursdays from 4:00pm to 5:30pm in the Agnes Cuming Seminar Room (D520) in the Newman Arts Building. Speakers are listed below.
