Following submission of the SPHPSS Athena Swan application at the end of June 2021 the School has been awarded the Athena SWAN Bronze Award. Congratulations to Assistant Professor and Associate Dean for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Dr Ross Neville who co-chaired the application with Professor Catherine Blake. Thanks also to the SAT and everyone involved.
This award is one of many school level targets outlined in the University level UCD Gender Equality Action Plan 2020-2024, overseen by the University Gender Equality Action Group, which is committed to gender equality for staff and students. This award recognises the School's strong commitment to gender equality and their reflection on how the School can create a more inclusive place of learning, research and work for all to advance in the discipline.
Catherine, Ross and the EDI committee look forward to working with the whole school on the implementation of the Athena SWAN Gender Equality Action Plan.
