UCD ranked in Top 100 by QS World University Rankings By Subject 2025
UCD has been ranked in the Top 100 universities in the world for Sports-Related Subjects in the QS World University Rankings 2025. Academic programmes are ranked over five indicators to effectively reflect their performance, taking into account academic reputation, employer reputation and faculty research.
Speaking about the ranking, Assistant Professor James Matthews, Dean and Head of the UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science, said "We are delighted to once again be ranked among the top 100 institutions worldwide for sport-related subjects—one of nine disciplines at UCD to achieve this distinction. This recognition reflects the excellence of our teaching and research, as well as the strong reputation we have built within the global academic community and among the organizations that employ our graduates. We look forward to continuing our commitment to delivering world-class programmes and conducting high-impact research in sport and its related disciplines".
