Teaching Support Information for Graduate Students
Tutoring and demonstrating hours are available to graduate students who have previously completed, or be currently enrolled in, PHYC40570 (Physics Tutoring and Demonstrating).

- Confirm you have previously completed, or are currently enrolled in, PHYC40570. If you believe you have equivalent qualifications/experience, please provide details.
- Which trimester you are available for (Autumn, Spring, and/or Summer).
- Whether you are interested in tutoring, demonstrating or both.
Duration
Up to 12 weeks per trimester
Working hours
The hours required by the School vary Trimester from Trimester.
For the Autumn and Spring Trimesters the typical allocation per student is 4 hrs (including preparation and grading).
For the Summer Trimester the typical allocation per student is 8 hrs per week.
Payment Rates
Tutors and demonstrators will be paid at the standard university hourly rates (see https://www.ucd.ie/hr/pay/tutorsdemonstrators/). Contact hours, preparation and grading activities are also paid in line with reasonable expectations of time spent preparing and grading where appropriate.
