Free Training in Data Analytics for the Unemployed

Covid-19 is expected to disrupt many sectors of the economy, creating a need for individuals to retrain in new skills. The UCD Professional Academy has partnered with SAS, one of the world's leading data analytics firms, to provide free training to those most affected by the pandemic.

The STEP programme invites unemployed individuals to retrain free of charge, gaining essential data skills from a foundation in basic data literacy to advanced data science.

What is the SAS STEP programme?

The SAS STEP programme is a free of charge re-skilling and employment initiative conducted in partnership with the UCD Professional Academy. Participants will be equipped with data analytics skills needed for in-demand jobs and receive a job placement as part of the programme.

Is this for me?

Anyone who is currently unemployed for any reason or furloughed due to the pandemic is eligible to apply. You will be able to complete the program even if you return to work, as live class sessions with a UCD Professional Academy lecturer will be offered at convenient times and most of the learning is via online tutorials you can complete in your own time. There are no prior educational attainment requirements. Familiarity in working with computers is ideal, but there is no programming involved in the course.
