The UCD Centre for Disability Studies from the UCD School of Psychology Offers Upskilling Opportunities through Subsidised Micro-credentials
The UCD Centre for Disability Studies has developed a suite of micro-credentials to upskill and reskill learners in the area of disability studies.
Micro-credentials are short, standalone courses that enable learners to upskill and reskill in highly specialised areas to help boost career prospects. For a limited time, there is a Learner Fee Subsidy Scheme which reduces the price of four disability studies micro-credentials by 50% for eligible learners.
Bridge the gap with Disability Studies Micro-credentials
The Disability Studies micro-credentials at UCD offer focused, accessible, and accredited learning opportunities for learners from all backgrounds. These short courses aim to bridge the gap in disability education, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of disability rights, policies, and inclusive practices.
Christine Linehan Associate Professor with the UCD School of Psychology and Director of the UCD Centre for Disability Studies says:
“Micro-credentials provide a terrific opportunity for people to take short courses in disability studies. We’re keen to widen our student base and think these courses are ideal for those who want a more flexible option of study here at UCD.”
