Sponsorship
Candidates admitted to the PhD in Clinical Psychology programme under the clinical psychology training sponsorship scheme are awarded sponsorship for the three years of their training, on condition that they work for their sponsoring agency for three years following graduation. The sponsorship involves employment on a Health Service Executive trainee clinical psychology salary and payment of 60% of course fees.
IRC Scholarships
With support from their supervisors postgraduates may apply to the IRC Government of Ireland postgraduate scholarships. The UCD School of Psychology has successfully supported many postgraduates to obtain Government of Ireland postgraduate scholarships.
Funded Research Scholarships
MLitt / PhD postgraduates may in some instances be supported by scholarships funded through their supervisors’ research grants. Information about such scholarships is available directly from individual academic staff members, or is posted on the School of Psychology website.
Therésè Brady Medal
This medal is awarded to one postgraduate in each graduating cohort of the PhD in Clinical Psychology whose research thesis is judged to show exceptional clinical sensitivity.
