Competition Success for our Entrepreneurs

UCD Quinn School students are challenged to think about all aspects of business organisation with ‘Entrepreneurial Management’ and “Family Business’ just two of the subjects options available to students thinking about a career in enterprise. Two groups of students have had great success in national competitions with excellent business ideas.
‘Effy’
Quinn School student Normal O’Mahony and Owen McCabe have had success in national competitions with their product Effy. 'Effy is a H.R tool that provides roster creation and allows for two way communication between employees and managers, making employee scheduling easier.
The tool also generates compliance & H.R reports to streamline performance. They are finalists in the Enterprise Ireland student 'Think Outside the Box' Competition , finalists in the ‘Ireland Funds Business Plan Competition 2014’ and got to the final six in the ‘Accenture Leaders of Tomorrow Awards 2014’ competition.
'Shower +’
Students Daniel Daly, Katie Liston & Mark Connaire ‘Shower +’ is a standing shower aid which will allow those with reduced mobility and paralysis to shower while standing up. They are also finalists in the Enterprise Ireland competition.
