UCD Lochlann Quinn School of Business will host New York Times bestselling author Jeetendr Sehdev on October 21 to discuss his new book, The Kim Kardashian Principle: Why Shameless Sells (and How to Do It Right). The event coincides with Kim Kardashian’s 39th birthday and is open to students, as well as the general public.
Director of UCD Quinn School Dr Maeve Houlihan will join the Harvard Business School alumnus in a fireside chat to offer an insightful look at how social media stars attract obsessive attention and what they can teach us about making ideas, products and services break through.
Sehdev will discuss how the counter-intuitive and provocative rules from The Kim Kardashian Principle have shaken up the world of self-help, business, marketing. These rules include: Focusing on what you believe and what you want to create regardless of the blowback; Embracing hate today as a status symbol; Aiming for imperfection, not perfection. The book offers a fresh, provocative, and eye-opening guide to understanding why only the boldest and baddest ideas will survive–and how to help aspiring entrepreneurs apply them.
The event will be held at the UCD Quinn School, Belfield campus on Monday, October 21 at 6:15 pm. The event is open to the public. Registration is required at http://bit.ly/KardashianPrincipleEvent.
