Professor Mary Lambkin named All Ireland Marketing Champion 2022
Professor Mary Lambkin was named the All Ireland Marketing Champion at the 2022 All Ireland Marketing Awards, organised by The Marketing Institute of Ireland.
The Awards are the nation's premier means of recognising the success of Irish marketing professionals and acknowledging their major contribution to the ongoing process of strengthening the economy of the island.
This All Ireland Marketing Champion Award is designed to highlight the exceptional performance of a business leader who is a champion of professional marketing. All members of the Marketing Institute of Ireland were invited to submit nominations for the award. Criteria for the award asked for nominations of a person who has made an exceptional contribution to business performance over time, displaying leadership, vision and skill, and is a champion of marketing professionalism as a key driver of overall business success.
Full Professor of Marketing at UCD College of Business, Mary Lambkin has educated generations of marketing graduates over the years through her teaching on marketing management and strategy. She has also written widely on marketing strategy in academic journals as well as professional publications and is well known internationally as an influential marketing academic.
Professor Lambkin has also been actively involved in the marketing profession throughout her career, having served on the Councils of both the Marketing Society and the Marketing Institute at various times; she was the first woman to Chair the Marketing Society. She is also involved in the wider business world through consulting and non-executive directorships, sitting on the boards of several international companies in banking and financial services including Citibank Europe and Barclaycard, as well as a number of public sector organisations. Mary is also well known in the media as a regular commentator on marketing and business issues.
