With over 100 different societies to choose from across a broad range of interests the UCD student societies are all student-centred: run by students for students, supported by values of democracy, inclusiveness, citizenship and social awareness.
Being involved in student life is a great way to make friends, develop your skills and help make the UCD community the welcoming, inclusive and supportive place it is. You can join any of the societies on campus throughout the year by attending their events and getting involved.
The Quinn School is involved specifically with the following business focused societies – Commerce & Economics Society and the Investment and Entrepreneurs Society. However, our students are members of many different ones on campus.
Investment and Entrepreneurs
UCD Investors and Entrepreneurs is a career-focused society passionate about business, especially focused on Investment Careers and Entrepreneurial Endeavours.
The society organises several weekly events to connect, encourage, and help students in starting their respective impactful careers. These events range from business leaders speaking about their start-up days, to analysing stocks and shares in the Student Managed Fund or gaining hands-on experience building your own business at our Start-up Weekend
The driving force behind all of this are our strong society links to major firms in the consulting, banking and technology industries and a team dedicated to hosting the best student-oriented events that can be found anywhere in Ireland.
Commerce & Economics Society
The Commerce & Economics Society is Ireland’s largest and oldest business-oriented university society, established over 100 years ago.
C&E has evolved from being a society purely focused on debating to become UCD’s premier social events society, providing the cornerstone of any healthy college life. The society also embraces the academic side of college and provides support and training to ensure you get your degree and the grades you want! We pride ourselves in being the most open and approachable society on campus, and are always on the lookout for new team members who are eager to get involved.
