Our Project Co-Ordinator ended the night with final words on encapsulating
the past two years of the pandemic through his creative writing skills.
Just a Couple Months Long
Two years of doom and gloom,
No easing in or preparations we assume.
Disinformation galore.
Twitters in uproar.
Everything changing.
All of it so unhinging.
Disrupting life as we know it.
A miserable, meaningless pit.
Who’s right? Who’s wrong?
Just a couple months long
Two years gone.
More than sacrificing a pawn.
Appreciate those who remain.
No amount of words can ease this pain.
Remember all that were taken too soon.
As the church bells ring over Zoom.
Through struggles and strife.
We’ve survived this part of life.
The end is almost in sight.
Of this long dark night.
Bursting through the flames.
No longer the same.
Dust and ashes left behind.
We rise, and hope is what we find.
New life lies within.
As perpetual light shines on the horizon.
The sun in the distance.
Promising a better existence.
