The (opens in a new window)Commerce degree (BComm) at UCD is a challenging course designed for ambitious and achievement- oriented students who wish to make a significant impact in the business world. You’ll learn about the recent themes and trends transforming the business landscape such as globalisation, technological change, and environmental sustainability.
Through case studies, business simulations, and company projects you’ll have the opportunity to apply what you are learning in the classroom. With a wide range of electives, the BComm gives you the flexibility to develop your own personal niche of expertise.
You’ll learn to become an independent and critical thinker, a cogent and compelling communicator and be able to work seamlessly in groups. You will develop the technical and mathematical skills to analyse and make sense of business data and intelligence.
The BComm student body comprises of a diverse range of students from different backgrounds, ages and nationalities and we encourage applications from mature students.
Entry to first year Commerce is available on a competitive basis to applicants who present an accepted major award with Distinction (80% or better) in at least 5 components, including any components and/or results specified below.
