The Chair of the Exam Committee typically nominates the Intern Examiner to oversee the thesis revisions. The Intern Examiner is responsible for communicating these revisions to the student. This process occurs offline, and the student does not have access to the Examination Committee's Joint Degree Report (JDR) at this stage.
The revisions will be completed outside of the eThesis Exam System. When you are satisfied the required revisions have been completed you will inform the student that they may now upload the clean revised Final Thesis (no highlighting, red text, etc).
The student will submit a summary of the thesis revisions in the system, max 1k bytes They will have the opportunity to update their abstract.
- They will upload their revised Final Thesis.
- If awarded “no corrections” no modifications can be made to the thesis, and the student will not be allowed to submit a revised version.
- If awarded “revise thesis and submit for Re-examination the student and Supervisor must be notified since the student must register and pay fees for at least 1 trimester.
