Outcomes and Impacts

ENGAGE: Events and activities that meet audience needs and project goals

Public engagement and stakeholder engagement are essential components of a communications plan to escalate uptake and understanding, change behaviour and influence outcomes, and also promote the value of your research. Activities in this category include:

  • Events/virtual events (including seminars and lecture series)
  • Workshops
  • Co-design/co-creation exercises
  • Outreach (including stakeholder meetings, inter-institutional visits and participation at fairs)
  • Surveys and polls
  • Calls-to-Action (such as links to surveys or invitations to events on newsletters and social posts)

Consider the needs of your audiences to choose the most easily discoverable and accessible communications types and channels, as well as your project’s resources.
