Dr Ben Bleasdale

Dr Ben Bleasdale is a co-Founder of CultureBase, a consultancy that supports research organisations to improve how research is done. Specialising in research policy and funding systems, he was the architect of Wellcome’s Reimagine Research community engagement programme in 2020, and advised the development of the Government’s R&D People and Culture Strategy.

Ben has held roles across the R&D system, including at Wellcome, Academy of Medical Sciences and Medical Research Council. He is also Director of Public Opinion at the Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE), leading an ambitious programme to broaden public and political support for R&D investment.
