Call for Poster Presentation Abstracts

Do you have a Research Culture Initiative you would like to share?

The aim of the Poster Presentation Session at the All-Island Research Culture Network's 2025 Conference is to provide a platform to the Network and others across and external to the island of Ireland, to showcase initiatives that are enhancing Research Culture in research performing organisations.  

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Research Assessment Reform
  • Engaged Participatory Research
  • Measuring Research Culture Progress
  • Wellbeing
  • Diversity of Research Cultures
  • Supporting cross-disciplinary research
  • Research Careers
  • Research Culture – Research Integrity Nexus
  • Sustaining Research Culture in small specialist institutions
  • Other (Abstracts that address specific areas not covered above are welcomed)

Posters will be displayed at All-Island Research Culture Network’s 2025 Conference at Assembly Buildings Conference Centre, Belfast, on Tuesday 13th May 2025.  All attendees will have the opportunity to talk to the authors during the Poster Presentation session on the day.

Requirements for Applicants:

Posters must be A1 size (Portrait orientation). 

Authors of accepted abstracts are expected to design and print their posters, as well as to bring their own means to attach the poster to the poster board on the day.

At least one author must be registered to attend the conference and be available on the day to present the poster.   

Submission Guidelines

The deadline to submit abstracts is Tuesday 18th March 2025.

Abstracts must include the following details:

Applicant Information

  • Name(s) of Author(s)
  • Organisation(s) of Author(s)
  • Primary contact name
  • Primary contact email address

Abstract Information

Abstracts must not exceed 250 words. 

Applicants are recommended to include the following when writing their abstract:

  • Initiative Title
  • Initiative Description
  • Rationale for Initiative
  • Initiative Aims /Purpose
  • Initiative Methods/Activities
  • Results
  • Conclusions

Selection process

Submitted abstracts will undergo a selection process carried out by the All-Island Research Culture Network Coordination Group.  Key selection criteria will include: clarity, relevance, engagement of the audience, and demonstration of impact.  Achieving representation of a diversity of topics and institutions will also be considered.

Results of selection process will be communicated to all applicants via the email address included on the submission form by Tuesday 15th April 2025. 

Accepted poster abstracts will be displayed on our conference webpage.
