If you are interested in teaching Biology and Mathematics at second level you might consider the dedicated pathway
Students can enter the programmes through the general Science programme DN200 and explore a range of science subjects in the first year Alternatively, students can focus on the biological sciences from the beginning by specifying DN200 BBB on their CAO application. Whichever pathway is pursued, students will be in a position to make an informed decision about their area of interest at the end of their second year and will study one of the above subjects as their degree major in third and fourth year. In all of the SBBS subject areas students undertake a laboratory based research project in their final year. Opportunities are available for study overseas in third and fourth year.
