Today marks World Cancer Day, an international day of recognition aimed at raising awareness of cancer and mobilising global efforts to improve early detection and treatment options for those living with cancer worldwide.
World Cancer Day operates on a 3-year cycle of themes, focusing on a particular aspect of cancer in each cycle. The theme for 2025 - 2027 is #UnitedbyUnique, in recognition of how each cancer patient's experience is unique and requires an individualised approach to ensure that all their needs are met.
In the same way that each individual patient is unique, so too is each tumour. At SBI, we're working towards making cancer treatment personalised, to ensure that each patient is matched to the best possible treatment option, to improve outcomes while minimising side-effects.
