Automated External Defibrillators (AED's)
There are a number of Automated External Defibrillators (AED's) located across the main UCD Belfield Campus, on the UCD Blackrock Campus and one unit located in both Lyons Estate and Belfield Office Park (Block 9 and 10). All AED's have been placed in prominent locations at main entrances to buildings.
In the event that an AED is required, call the UCD Emergency Line on 7999 or 01 716 7999 from a mobile.

Aimed at
Administrative and Support staff, Academic / Research staff, Technical Officers, Postgraduate Students
This course is open to all staff members who wish to know how to use the Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) which are located around the UCD campus. Certification is accredited by the Irish Heart Foundation/ American Heart Association and is valid for two years.
Objectives
The Heartsaver CPR AED Course teaches you the basic techniques of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and the relief of choking for adults and children.
