Introduction to Chemical Safety
Aimed at: Faculty, Research staff, Technical Officers and Postgraduate Researchers
This course is suitable for all staff and postgraduate researchers working with chemical agents as part of their role. This course provides information on the statutory requirements for working with chemical agents and also, information on the practical aspects of working safely with chemical agents in the laboratory setting.
Objectives:
At the end of the course participants will have an understanding of the principles of chemical safety, legislative requirements in respect of chemical safety and will be able to conduct risk assessments on the safe use of chemical agents within the laboratory in accordance with the requirements of relevant legislation and best practice.
