Introduction to Nanomaterials: Laboratory Health and Safety Considerations

Aimed at: Faculty, Research staff, Technical Officers and Postgraduate Researchers

This course is suitable for all staff and postgraduate researchers working with nano materials as part of their role. 

This course provides information on statutory requirements and best practice when working with nanomaterials and also, information on the practical aspects of working safely with nanomaterials in the laboratory setting.

Objectives:

At the end of the course participants will have an understanding of the principles of nanomaterials safety, the risk factors to consider, and will be able to conduct risk assessments on the safe use of nanomaterials within the laboratory in accordance with the requirements of relevant legislation and best practice.
