Projects

Internally and externally funded projects overseen by colleagues and associates of the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics.

This project, led by Prof Michael Brophy, helps students to champion the core values of academic integrity among their peers. These values comprise honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibilityand courage, values to be cultivated in association with an ethos of compassion and concern.

The project allows students to become partners in promoting academic integrity as an integral part of learning and in the production of module assignments. It provides not only students but also teaching staff with a student viewpoint on academic integrity.

This project aims at developing a digital learning resource for a Localisation Grad Dip programme at UCD School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics with an external partner Hermes Traducciones y Servicios Lingüísticos, a language service company in Spain.

The initiative was to enhance current learning experience for our students. From a methodological perspective.

In summer 2020, just when Covid-19 pandemic was upon UCD SLCL, we designed and developed new language and content modules for undergraduate students of Business and Languages to undertake in UCD during the Autumn trimester because they could not travel to the host countries as part of the Erasmus Year Abroad.
