Bio: Simo Häyrynen: Prof. in Environmental Policy in University of Eastern Finland and Docent in Cultural Policy (UEF, Turku University). Research projects include (current) Academy of Finland The Frontiers of Sustainability Transition focusing on the cultural adaptation of sustainability policies in European peripheries; WP leader in EU-project Bright Future for Black Towns concentrating on the socio-cultural structures of declining industrial communities in five European countries (Era-net 2017-2020). Recent publications include co-edited two-volume Palgrave & Macmillan compilation Arts and the Challenge of Markets (2018).
