The UCD School of Social Policy, Social Work and Social Justice is pleased to welcome students from all five continents. We provide a warm, hospitable and academically supportive environment for international students in UCD and value diversity in our student population. In recent years Erasmus Mundus students and scholars from India and China have greatly enhanced the learning and research environment in the Schools of Applied Social Science and Social Justice (the component schools of the new School).
A significant number of Mitchell Scholars from the US have chosen the MSc Equality Studies programme as their first choice since the programme was established. Irish Aid (Ireland's official overseas development programme) has awarded scholarships to students from a range of programme countries to the School’s masters programmes. As we are based in Europe, we are particularly pleased with the high number of students who have come to study in the School from all parts of the continent and in recent years we have been delighted to welcome Masters students from South America, China, India, New Zealand and Australia.
Comprehensive information on UCD scholarships for international students is available here. (This will take you out of the Schools pages and bring you to information for international applicants)
The school has a very limited number of fee reductions available for students applying for taught Masters programmes (only) from outside of the European Economic Area. These are awarded strictly on academic merit and interested applicants should contact the postgraduate and marketing manager, Dominic Shellard at (opens in a new window)dominic.shellard@ucd.ie.
We also welcome applications from overseas students for the School's Mary Kelly Equality Studies Scholarship.
Please contact the School for further information on any of our programmes.
